The Scottish Ambulance Service's air ambulance operation mainly transfers patients from remote, rural and island communities to hospital. This includes providing Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) as well as support to our specialist retrieval service ScotSTAR.
The aircraft used by the Air Ambulance Service are provided as part of a managed contract which is currently due to expire. To help inform the re-procurement work, we are engaging with the public, patients, and stakeholders as part of a wide range of consultation to gather opinion prior to the renewal of this important element of the Scottish Ambulance Service. Please share your thoughts via the following questionnaire which should only take around 10 minutes to complete.
