We would like to know what is important to people when they require the care of Scottish Ambulance Service and what qualities make for a first class ambulance service in Scotland.

As is explained in the infographic at the top of the survey, we have recently made improvements to how we identify and prioritise our responses to our patients. In order to continue to improve the care we provide, it is important for us to understand what they expect to happen when they require our services.

How comfortable do you feel knowing that we prioritise patients, with the sickest, most critically ill, patients (such as cardiac arrest patients) treated first?

As is explained in the infographic above, for less ill patients who are in a non-life threatening situation, our call handlers now spend a little bit more time with them to understand their condition in order to ensure we can send the right type of response to them first time (for example, sending an ambulance if they will require transport to hospital rather than a single paramedic on a motorcycle).
5.
How comfortable would you feel knowing you might have to wait a little longer for an ambulance response if it meant that you would receive the most appropriate response for your condition or in situations where a crew was diverted to treat a dying patient first?
